Charles Dickens himself once clamied once that his female characters tend to be either angels or shrews, do u agree with this comment?

I agree, though I'm not quite sure about David's aunt, she was a angel near the end of the book, but in the beginning I though her a strict, fierce, and almost violent lady.

That tends to be true for Dickens women with a few exceptions. But for proof, just tick off the women in David Copperfield

Emily-an exception, a weak but not evil character
