I am a student majoring in English.I want to write an article with the topic above i.e."Charles Dickens and David Copperfiel".I am wondering whether the plot below works.(1) A introduction of Charles Dickens.
    (2) The bief description of the content of David Copperfield. The characteristics of main characters.
    (3) Comparation between (1)and (2)(as,in some respects an autobiography ).
And finally I intend to refer to the style of writing as well as the influence of the work.

DO help me !I am looking for your information.

I think that you have a nice plan, but also a plan that needs a lot of work if you are going to write something interesting. It all depends to your abilities and time for thinking and research. If time is a problem, I'd recommend something narrower, maybe an essay on (some) characters of the novel and their relation with David and each other, etc.

David and Dickens both seem to be a bit compulsive and having a need to show up as being 'holier than thou'...
