Valediction
There was a saviour greater than light
Red born of rock and craggy face
Like nature’s clock he primed
The mechanism to destruction
Like a rain of radium, a memento
On the pillow of a drowsy creator
Slumbering in the perpetual drain
Of man’s hollowed out cranium
There bloomed shoots like the unbound valleys
Of a child’s imagination- the cowslips
Radiated within the blazing yellowed gorse-
And made a memory marooned like the message
That failed to ignite the stained clay upon the soul-
Of His abstract creation- asking to be born, once more.
