My Life is a Book
They gave me a paper,
And asked for a poem.
They asked about my life,
So that�s what I�ll show �em
When I can�t see,
In the darkness of night,
Writing is my guide,
And my pen is my light.
My thoughts are my ink.
My heart is my pen.
My life is a book,
That I write over and over again.
Sometimes the book is hilarious,
Sometimes it�s sad.
Sometimes it�s memorable,
Sometimes it�s downright bad.
I am the book�s author, illustrator, editor, and publisher.
And it takes only one day to write.
As ironic as it seems,
I start from scratch each night.
Be it a best-seller,
Or a lifetime down the drain,
One thing I know for sure,
Is that my pride won�t be slain
