As a kind of preface there is an epigaaph, which tells the readers what the writer would like to say .
Now I'm reading " The Snows of Kilimanjaro " by Hemingway , so I wonder what's meaning of epigraph in this story . It must be importanat for us to look closely at it for the purpose of the further understanding Hemingway's idea .
As Nasai call the weastern summit of Kilimamjaro "Ngaje Ngar" ( the house of God ), God is supposed to dwell in the sky, in the highest place of peace , of joy (paradise).
By the way do you have any memorable epigraph you've ever read books in ?
