I am writing a paper on David Copperfield and i would like help with the theme of being blind in the book. This refers to Davids marriage to Dora, etc. If you have any info whatsoever on this topic, please post a message. How you think it relates to the book, and the characters. Thanks

Betsy Trotwood often chides David with "blind, blind" because he cannot see that he is really in love with Agnes. I think David really understands what she means, but he still does not see that he loves her- he thinks of Agnes as a sister. His love of Dora can be seen as superficial. He really does love her, but his "undisciplined heart" is not yet adept to cope.
