I am reading David Copperfield for my Classic book report and I am getting confused at some parts. Who is Mr. Spenlow and where did David meet him? Also, I don't understand what the "English Commons" are. Lastly, what is a procter? I've looked it up in my dictionary and I still don't understand what it is. Could you explain it, please? Thank you very much
David

Dear David,

For Mr. Spenlow start from David Copperfield Ch. 23.

For the Doctors' Commons and the proctor read the Dictionary entries at http://www.ellopos.net/dickens/copper_dictionary.html

Dear George,
I just want to tell you that I'm glad to have you at all of this sites because you seem to have spent some time on Dickins D.C. for you really know him... My compliments and thank you for taking the time to help..

Anna
