I'm a college student in Colorado and was wondering if any of you know some places on-line with credible info on the Francois Vase, or greek black-figure pottery. I came across this site which has a detailed description of the vase.
You could also try the Perseus Digital Library which gives some pictures of the vase and other vases from collections around the world.
If you have access to a library, try getting hold of "Athenian Black Figure Vases" by John Boardman. This goes into great detail about the style, painters and technique of the Black-figure period in Greek art.
