The union of the Churches is the best way to eliminate
Christianity
Excerpts from Against False Union, ed. Zephyr (1st ed. by Aster 1964, 2nd ed 1995). The version published here is edited by Ellopos for spelling or similar errors and is divided by new chapters. Emphases by Ellopos are in green color, as the subtitles. - Το κείμενο είναι διαθέσιμο και στα Ελληνικά
In his preface to this book Kontoglou writes:
“The author of this book is not a theologian trained in schools where they study what can not be studied, theology. He studied medicine, something which can be studied because it is worldly, human knowledge. He drew his Orthodox Faith and piety from Tradition. He received it in the way, as he himself says, faith and piety are transmitted - from teacher to disciple, from parent to child, from elder to disciple, from Christian to Christian [that is, with personal relationship]. For this reason he «is one who experiences divine things, not one who learns about them», having faith as a guide and not knowledge [encyclopedic-scientific information]. «He walks by faith and not by sight», as Apostle Paul says. And this is why his book is harsh; it does not have the compromises that reveal little faith, nor accommodations to avoid being unpleasant to people of contrary views, nor any false brotherliness.”
