CHAPTER 31 – A GREATER LOSS
Copperfield takes care of the will: things are left to Copperfield, Emily and Peggotty. The funeral is held. Ham returns to the boathouse to say that Emily had left a note to say that she didn’t love Ham enough. They work out that she’s eloped with Steerforth. Mr Peggotty decides to look for her.
CHAPTER 32 – THE BEGINNING OF A LONG JOURNEY
Ham, Mr Peggotty and Copperfield look for Emily in Yarmouth, but have no luck. Copperfield goes to Peggotty’s house and sends her to bed.
Miss Mowcher arrives to say that she felt Emily was abroad. Mr Peggotty goes abroad to look for her.
