I'd like to help you, but I'm obliged not to. Why do you bother translating Plato, when you care so little about languages? Is this a way to speak English? Without punctuation marks, capital letters, without respecting even elementary syntax...?

I'm sorry liam. You don't use a different language, inferior or not, the way you speak English you damage any language whatever.

I hope this just-for-me writing will become a habit of yours!

The etymology of Skamandros is not certain, but you should already know this after having consulted your dictionary. I would keep it "Skamander" in English, forcing the reader to ponder possible translations instead of arbitrarily suggesting myself just one of them.

The two springs means that the river came from a spring that produced cold water all the year regardless of season, and from a spring producing hot water all the year regardless of season. One river, two springs.

Xanthos refers to hair color, the rest that you write (handsome, divine, etc) are not implied in the text.

According to Hesiod Xanthos the river god is the son of Oceanus and Tethys.
