Dialog Box Assistant is a small program that helps you to deal with the standard Open and Save As dialog boxes. Dialog Box Assistant places 2 buttons in the upper-right corner of the dialog box. When you press the left button you see a drop-down list that contains most recently used files. Right button is for the recent folders. Dialog Box Assistant keeps a list of recently used folders and files for each application you work with.

Office solutions

ATnotes creates notes on the Windows desktop. It supports alarms, custom sounds, running of files, recurring events, notes editing, importing and exporting. Explorer-like interface. We miss a temporary "disable" option, and an optional confirmation before running files. Take care: ATnotes doesn't support unicode. E.g. to view Greek in WinXP you have to enable non-unicode support from language settings, but if you do this your custom macros in MS Word will stop working!

If you wish a batch window would close immediately after execution in Windows XP

In Windows XP the window that the batch file opens, remains open for as long as all applications and documents opened by that batch file remain open. To solve this problem and have the window of the batch file to close immediately, use the start command in front of the file names. E.g., If we write a batch file to open tlg and a word document

C:\tlg32.exe | E:\practice.doc | cls
exit

This batch file will wait for tlg.exe and practice.doc to close before it closes its window.

In Windows XP we should write

start C:\tlg32.exe | start E:\practice.doc | cls
exit

and the batch file will close right after tlg.exe and practice.doc start.
