1 And it came to pass after twenty years, in which Solomon built the house of the Lord, and his own house, 2 that Solomon rebuilt the cities which Chiram had given to Solomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell in them. 3 And Solomon came to Baesoba, and fortified it. 4 And he built Thoedmor in the wilderness, and all the strong cities which he built in Emath. 5 And he built Baethoron the upper, and Baethoron the lower, strong cities,-- they had walls, gates, and bars; 6 and Balaath, and all the strong cities which Solomon had, and all his chariot cities, and cities of horsemen, and all things that Solomon desired according to his desire of building, in Jerusalem, and in Libanus, and in all his kingdom. 7 [As for] all the people that was left of the Chettites, and the Amorites, and the Pherezites, and the Evites, and the Jebusites, who are not of Israel, 8 but were of the children of them whom the children Israel destroyed not, that were left after them in the land, even them did Solomon make tributaries to this day. 9 But Solomon did not make any of the children of Israel servants in his kingdom for, behold, [they were] warriors and rulers, and mighty [men], and captains of chariots and horsemen. 10 And these are the chiefs of the officers of king Solomon, two hundred and fifty overseeing the work among the people. 11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharao from the city of David to the house which he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the city of David, the king of Israel, for [the place] is holy into which the ark of the Lord has entered. 12 Then Solomon offered up to the Lord whole-burnt-offerings on the altar which he had built to the Lord before the temple, 13 according to the daily rate, to offer up [sacrifices] according to the commandments of Moses, on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts, three times in the year, at the feast of unleavened bread, and at the feast of weeks, and at the feast of tabernacles. 14 And he established, according to the order of his father David, the courses of the priests, and [that] according to their public ministrations: and the Levites [were appointed] over their charges, to praise and minister before the priests according to the daily order: and the porters were appointed according to their courses to the different gates: for thus [were] the commandments of David the man of God. 15 They transgressed not the commandments of the king concerning the priests and the Levites with regard to everything else, and with regard to the treasures. 16 Now all the work had been prepared from the day when the foundation was laid, until Solomon finished the house of the Lord. 17 Then Solomon went to Gasion Gaber, and to Aelath near the sea in the land of Idumea. 18 And Chiram sent by the hand of his servants ships, and servants skilled in naval affairs; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Sophira, and brought thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and they came to king Solomon.

ΚΑΙ ἐγένετο μετὰ εἴκοσιν ἔτη, ἐν οἷς ᾠκοδόμησε Σαλωμὼν τὸν οἶκον Κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ, 2 καὶ τὰς πόλεις, ἃς ἔδωκε Χιρὰμ τῷ Σαλωμών, ᾠκοδόμησεν αὐτὰς Σαλωμών καὶ κατῴκισεν ἐκεῖ τοὺς υἰοὺς ᾿Ισραήλ. 3 καὶ ἦλθε Σαλωμὼν εἰς Βαισωβὰ καὶ κατίσχυσεν αὐτήν. 4 καὶ ᾠκοδόμησε τὴν Θοεδμὸρ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις τὰς ὀχυράς, ἃς ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐν ῾Ημάθ. 5 καὶ ᾠκοδόμησε τὴν Βαιθωρὼν τὴν ἄνω καὶ τὴν Βαιθωρὼν τὴν κάτω, πόλεις ὀχυράς, τείχη, πύλαι καὶ μοχλοί, 6 καὶ τὴν Βααλὰθ καὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις τὰς ὀχυράς, αἳ ἦσαν τῷ Σαλωμών, καὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις τῶν ἁρμάτων καὶ τὰς πόλεις τῶν ἱππέων καὶ ὅσα ἐπεθύμησε Σαλωμὼν κατὰ τὴν ἐπιθυμίαν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι ἐν ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ καὶ ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ καὶ ἐν πάσῃ τῇ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ. 7 πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ὁ καταλειφθεὶς ἀπὸ τοῦ Χετταίου καὶ τοῦ ᾿Αμορραίου καὶ τοῦ Φερεζαίου καὶ τοῦ Εὐαίου καὶ τοῦ ᾿Ιεβουσαίου, οἳ οὐκ εἰσὶν ἐκ τοῦ ᾿Ισραήλ, 8 ἀλλ’ ἦσαν ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτῶν τῶν καταλειφθέντων μετ’ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ γῇ, οὓς οὐκ ἐξωλόθρευσαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ ἀνήγαγεν αὐτοὺς Σαλωμὼν εἰς φόρον ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης. 9 καὶ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ οὐκ ἔδωκε Σαλωμὼν εἰς παῖδας τῇ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι αὐτοὶ ἄνδρες πολεμισταὶ καὶ ἄρχοντες καὶ δυνατοὶ καὶ ἄρχοντες ἁρμάτων καὶ ἱππέων. 10 καὶ οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν προστατῶν βασιλέως Σαλωμών· πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι ἐργοδιωκτοῦντες ἐν τῷ λαῷ. 11 Καὶ τὴν θυγατέρα Φαραὼ ἀνήγαγε Σαλωμὼν ἐκ πόλεως Δαυὶδ εἰς τὸν οἶκον, ὃν ᾠκοδόμησεν αὐτῇ, ὅτι εἶπεν· οὐ κατοικήσει ἡ γυνή μου ἐν πόλει Δαυὶδ τοῦ βασιλέως ᾿Ισραήλ, ὅτι ἅγιός ἐστιν οὗ εἰσῆλθεν ἐκεῖ κιβωτὸς Κυρίου. 12 Τότε ἀνήνεγκε Σαλωμὼν ὁλοκαυτώματα τῷ Κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον, ὃ ᾠκοδόμησε Κυρίῳ ἀπέναντι τοῦ ναοῦ, 13 κατὰ τὸν λόγον ἡμέρας ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ ἀναφέρειν κατὰ τὰς ἐντολὰς Μωυσῆ ἐν τοῖς σαββάτοις καὶ ἐν τοῖς μησὶ καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἑορταῖς τρεῖς καιροὺς τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ, ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ τῶν ἀζύμων καὶ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ τῶν ἑβδομάδων καὶ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ τῶν σκηνῶν. 14 καὶ ἔστησε κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν Δαυὶδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ τὰς διαιρέσεις τῶν ἱερέων, κατὰ τὰς λειτουργίας αὐτῶν, καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἐπὶ τὰς φυλακὰς αὐτῶν τοῦ αἰνεῖν καὶ λειτουργεῖν κατέναντι τῶν ἱερέων κατὰ τὸν λόγον ἡμέρας ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ, καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ κατὰ τὰς διαιρέσεις αὐτῶν εἰς πύλην καὶ πύλην, ὅτι οὕτως ἐντολαὶ Δαυὶδ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ Θεοῦ. 15 οὐ παρῆλθον τὰς ἐντολὰς τοῦ βασιλέως περὶ τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν εἰς πάντα λόγον καὶ εἰς τοὺς θησαυρούς. 16 καὶ ἡτοιμάσθη πᾶσα ἡ ἐργασία, ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἐθεμελιώθη, ἕως οὗ ἐτελείωσε Σαλωμὼν τὸν οἶκον Κυρίου. 17 Τότε ᾤχετο Σαλωμὼν εἰς Γασιὼν Γαβὲρ καὶ εἰς τὴν Αἰλὰθ τὴν παραθαλασσίαν ἐν γῇ ᾿Ιδουμαίᾳ. 18 καὶ ἀπέστειλε Χιρὰμ ἐν χειρὶ παίδων αὐτοῦ πλοῖα καὶ παῖδας εἰδότας θάλασσαν, καὶ ᾤχοντο μετὰ τῶν παίδων Σαλωμὼν εἰς Σωφιρὰ καὶ ἔλαβον ἐκεῖθεν τετρακόσια καὶ πεντήκοντα τάλαντα χρυσίου καὶ ἦλθον πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Σαλωμών.
