Sirens

Tresses get tangled
in winds
as they all soar
into the sun; golden winged
high above cliff-tops.

Circle aimless
until below
white sails of surrender
on a matchstick mast
struggle in a squall.

Air-streams whistle
in the ears and caress
the larynx before
their sweet song
meddles mordent memories.
